EHR automation questions

Which EHRs do you work with?
We integrate through HL7 FHIR R4 and vendor APIs where they exist (for example eClinicalWorks and athenahealth), and use secure browser automation for systems or tasks without an API. During the free analysis we confirm the exact method for your EHR and each workflow.
Is patient data safe with AI?
Yes. IHS signs a Business Associate Agreement, agents run on IHS-owned infrastructure in Houston and Dallas under HIPAA and SOC 2 Type II controls, and we only use AI model providers under BAA terms for PHI workloads. Access is least-privilege and every action is audit-logged.
Will the AI make clinical decisions?
No. IHS Flow automates administrative and revenue-cycle work. Anything clinical — refills, triage outcomes, medical-necessity judgments — is prepared by the agent and routed to licensed staff for decision.
Do we need to change our EHR or workflows?
No. Agents work inside the systems you already use, following your SOPs. We document each workflow with your team before anything is automated.
How do you prevent errors?
Each workflow starts in Assisted mode with human approval, is measured against a quality score, and only moves to full automation when it consistently meets the target you set. Exceptions are always escalated to a person.
